It’s been a while since I’ve made something new. Grief has a way of hollowing you out, then quietly filling you back in with something you don’t quite recognize yet.
Mourning Diary is the newest zine I’ll be launching and selling tomorrow (August 16, 2024) at the Gandang-Ganda Sa Sariling Gawa Art Fair by Gantala Press, held at Ateneo de Naga University from 8 AM to 5 PM.
The pieces inside were written slowly and quietly throughout 2023 until mid-2024, during moments when I didn’t know what to do with the weight I was carrying. As always, this zine is me being vulnerable again, laying pieces of myself bare on paper. And as always, I think that’s okay… as long as I’m allowed to disappear and rest afterward.
If you’re around, I’d love to see you there. And if you’re a friend I haven’t seen in a while, let’s catch up. I’ll be at my little table the whole day.
